Is it business strategy? The economy? Financing?

For me, the biggest focus right now is how psychology can build business strategy. I am impressed by the way one company I know is using psychological profiling of customers to increase sales. We also work a lot with franchisors, and in a franchise the psychology of what makes a good franchisor - franchisee relationship is very much key to growth & more unit sales. How communication can improve the relationships & then drive business growth, how strong branding is built on an understanding of psychological drivers and how sales are driven by emotion rather than logic. One great book I've been reading is Charlie Munger's Poor Charlie's Almanac - another source of inspiration are Greg Nathans books on Psychology (the Franchise E-factor amongst others). Would love to hear from other people who are using insights from psychology to fast track their business growth! Or any other good book recommendations along these lines?

Our business has recently been focused on HR related topics. Payroll, Contractors vs. Staff, Health Care Benefits and how to motivate and reward staff.

With myself imminently approaching maternity leave it has made us put a priority on hiring to replace me and a support system in place for my business partner. Documented educational system strategies have become a priority for us.

My biggest focus is restructuring to support growth. This has been my focus for the past few years and I've had to hit several milestones along the way. Taking my business from a sole proprietorship to something more extensible involves a lot of strategic planning.

These days, having sold my 'hands on' company last year, I'm focusing on translating the knowledge that I have into creating InfoProducts on line.
